​Jamaican-born Vincent HoSang and his daughter, Sabrina HoSang-Jordan, are among this year's winners of Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award New York  for "inspiring innovation without limitation and fueling growth and prosperity by being truly unstoppable.” The event was held on June 20, 2019 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.

​Two Jamaican-American undergraduate students, 20-year-old Kayla Jessup, and 19-year-old Tarik Graham, will travel to Jamaica this summer to participate in a five-week professional and cultural internship program, hosted by GraceKennedy Limited from June 28 to August 7. 

​As part of the U.S. Government’s US$20 million dollar investment in Jamaica’s maritime security, U.S. Embassy Kingston’s Chargé d’Affaires Eric Khant officially handed over a Boston Whaler and SAFE Boat to Jamaica’s Chief of Defense Staff Lt. General Rocky Meade.
